I created these images by applying Inkaid to the surface of very textured rice paper. I used the clear semi gloss precoat and gold iridescent precoat of Inkaid on the surface of the rice paper. The images I choose to print on the rice paper where ones that I had created with an old world style. The gold doesn't show up as well as I had hoped it would but despite that I think they work well. You can see the series of images before printing at this link. I call them Sketches of Europe. The theme of the images is aging. The process and technique that I used helps emphasis that concept. In these examples printing on the very texturedrice paper pushs the idea even further.
