Hong Kong
Hong Kong was the most civilized city I visited in China. The city is situated between the mountains and the sea. Almost everyone spoke English, so wandering off on my own was not a big problem. I ventured off to the remote areas to see the way that the natives lived. In many ways it reminded me of Canal Street in New York City, with people selling their wares on the side of the street. Despite the clouded-in city, I took the tram to the top to see if there was a view. The most spectacular part of the city was the light show from the opposite side of the river. This show goes on for about an hour, with flashing lights and beams shooting up into the sky.
