Dead Horse Canyon, Utah
I stood at the edge of this canyon, where there were no barriers, and I felt the wind come up from the canyon floor with a rush. Immediately I dropped to my knees, realizing how easily I could have been swept over the edge, with inevitable death at the end of a 4,000-foot drop. The photos I took cannot show this feeling or the depth of the drop. This is a place that one needs to see and experience for oneself.
The land is meant to remain rustic, with horses and cattle roaming freely on the range.
