Grand Canyon, Arizona Utah -Arizona 2005 - Arches / Bryce / Capitol Reef / Grand Canyon / Arizona from Above / Red Canyon / Red Cliff / Monument Valley / Dead Horse Canyon / Driving / Kodachrome Basin / Zion WOW! is the best expression when one is first standing at the edge of this canyon. Its shear size is beyond explanation and I found it impossible to capture its grandeur with my camera. The colors of the canyon walls are brilliant with rich, warm hues of red, orange and yellow as they glow with sun-saturated heat. I took photographs from the edge of the canyon and from inside a helicopter. My one-day excursion to Havasu Falls was cancelled due to dangerous spring runoff. The Angel Bright trail beckoned me to walk down to its base, but my traveling partner was not comfortable with the heights, so I stayed back. Maybe next time.
