Virgin Gorda
During my trip to Puerto Rico, I took a small sea plane to Tortola. From there I went to Virgin Gorda, where I grabbed a taxi and toured the baths. Massive granite boulders left over from volcanic activity are piled on top of each other on the shoreline, creating caves with small openings where light peeks through and illuminates the ocean’s tidal waters that seep in at their base. I ate lunch on the top of the hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea before descending down to the shoreline. On my journey home I passed a sailors’ haven and then returned to Tortola, where I flew back to Puerto Rico.
