I bought this big hunk of Cherry Burl while vactioning in the mountains and worked for several days getting the bark from it. I used a chisel, hammer and a screwdriver. It was really messy to say the least. Once it dries a bit more I will pour wash it to get rid of the ret of the bark and dirt. It weighs around 50 lbs I think and was a bit unruly to work with but I am hoping it is worth it. At some point I will cut it into slices to use on my Large Birdhouses.
