There's nothing like the memory of a beloved family member. The choices are very limited so I decided to make some decorative urns that one one would be proud to be entombed in and displayed on a mantle or shelf.
I originally designed these boxes as Pet Urns but have found that people who have purchased them use them as storage for all kinds of small things. This box holds approximately ⅞ cup volume. It has been milled from a Holly tree log.
The top is made from Spalted maple, using the book matched method and mirroring two similar sections together. An ammonite fossil handle adorns the box top.
The top - approximately 5.75" tall x 3.25" at its widest point. The bottom - approximately 3.25" wide, interior width is approximately 2.5"
Twist the top slightly to prevent the top from sliding off. Glue the top to the bottom to secure any contents within.
