It has been filled with a hardened resin. The shell pen display holds two (2) pens/pencils.
Wormy Chestnut Wooden Pen displays
These wooden pen displays are made for two part pens as shown in the top image. Of the four images above the top two wooden pen displays are made from Lebanon Cedar. The two below that are made from reclaimed wormy chestnut. They measure approximately 2" square x 3" tall.
